Audience Choice Award Goes to Der Glöckner

Feb 24, 2017

WFG Distribution is pleased to announce that Der Glöckner received the Audience Choice Award at Queen City Shorts on February 22.

Queen City Shorts is a short film night that is held at the Creative City Centre in Regina every month. The next event will be March 29. The full February program can be found here.

Der Glöckner is a WFG-distributed film by Chrystene Ells and Berny Hi. A 16mm homage to German Expressionism, the film follows an aged Bellringer (Glöckner) as he witnesses the ravages of the First World War on his village until a ghostly young girl leads him to transcendence through loss and beauty.

Der Glöckner has previously been awarded Best Film and Audience Choice at the Saskatchewan Independent Film Awards.
