CBC SCREENS WFG SHORTS

The Winnipeg Film Group is pleased to announce four short films featured in our Distribution Catalogue will air on CBC Manitoba on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 7pm.

Inspired by the quality of the short films screened as part of the jury process for CBC’s Short Film Faceoff, CBC Manitoba licensed a regional, one-hour shorts show featuring made-in-Manitoba short films. 2013 is the third year of the program.

Citizens Against Basswood

Citizens Against Basswood is an amusing record of a man’s dogged attempt to petition against the plan to plant trees in his neighbourhood.

Tender Wild Animal

Caught in a battle of time, an elderly artist struggles to complete his body of work.

The Idea

Melvin, an idea living in a mediocre brain plans an escape in order to be realized.

Hosted by Winnipeg actor Michael Bell and produced by Brendon Sawatzky (Inferno Pictures) and Joy Loewen (Exposure Film), Short Shots will air at 7 pm on Saturday, June 29 on CBC Manitoba.?
