Fringe Online

The Winnipeg Film Group’s Distribution Department, in collaboration with CFMDC and Fringe Online, is pleased to launch ten new artist websites created by ten Winnipeg filmmakers.

The goal of these ten websites, an extension of www.fringeonline.ca and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, is to highlight and support a selection of talented and diverse Winnipeg filmmakers and their careers.

Fringe Online Prairie Edition features new and upgraded websites by Deco Dawson, Danishka Esterhazy, Paula Kelly, Caroline Monnet, Winston Washington Moxam, Solomon Nagler, Darryl Nepinak, Carole O’Brien, Heidi Phillips and Matthew Rankin.

Please join us for a launch of all websites on Thursday, June 7 between 4:30 and 6:30 in the lobby of Artspace (100 Arthur Street). We will have iMacs set up to view the new websites and will serve some refreshments. Several filmmakers will be in attendance.

Fringe Online is the largest publication project in the Canadian Media arts. It features a wide range of writings stills and clips from Canadian media artists. Fringe Online was arranged and edited by Mike Hoolboom and is a co-presentation of Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre and Vtape.

For more information please contact Distribution Director Monica Lowe at monica@winnipegfilmgroup.com or (204) 925-3456 ext. 103.
