Crime Wave

Sitcom noir, or maybe Tex Avery splatter. Steven desperately wants to be a "colour crime movie writer", but he has trouble with plots until an adoring fan befriends him. Through a series of adventures, and the evil Dr. Jolly, he finds the strength to go on.

Nine to Five Crack, The

By John Paizs | 00:03:50 | Animation | 01/01/1975

The dreams of a frightened baby elephant, animated in the old Disney style, with the music of the Electric Light Orchestra.

International Style, The

By John Paizs | 00:37:38 | Comedy, Narrative-Fiction | 1/1/1984

An amusing melange of 60's spy thrillers and other classics. Super secret agent Nick attempts to liberate a top secret microchip from the clutches of multimillionaire Quinton Frost. Paizs pokes fun at the jet set, the Cold War and Jean-Paul Sartre.

Oak, Ivy and Other Dead Elms

By John Paizs | 00:33:25 | Comedy, Narrative-Fiction | 1/1/1982

Nick, the silent hero, sets off for college where he becomes involved in an attempt to restore the old campus hangout and in a dirty and hard-fought student election. The film weaves the tone of ‘40s college movies with a clever spoof of current electoral trends, suggesting how easily old fashioned ethics turn into fascism.

Springtime in Greenland

By John Paizs | 00:24:24 | Comedy, Narrative-Fiction | 1/1/1981

A lifetime of suburbia in a half hour, Springtime in Greenland uses ‘50s cinematic conventions to tell a story about the sophomoric inhabitants of a fictional utopia. Meet Nick. He’s silent, aloof and straining against suburban values.

Obsession of Billy Botski, The

By John Paizs | 00:25:21 | Comedy, Narrative-Fiction | 1/1/1980

A young man meets his obsession, a ghostly 60's Playboy-bunny styled "Connie", and is never the same!
