Hot Plastic Suits

By Dallas Cant | 00:05:39 | Experimental | 13/09/2019

By working directly with the uncared for 'leftovers' of capitalist consumption, Hot Plastic Suits questions how human-centered and colonial systems of imagined limitlessness and replicability have encouraged fleeting affections with human and beyond human things.

Archangel

By Guy Maddin | 01:23:00 | Drama, Experimental | 01/01/1990

Archangel is: a tragedy of the Great war; a dreamlike world of long ago lost love; a Goya painting etched in frost. Nestled beneath a white, fluffy blanket of forgetfulness is Archangel, a crystalline city of spires and onion domes. There is a Canadian soldier, a Belgian aviator and a Russian nurse, their minds clouded…

By Roger D. Wilson (Cooper) | 00:05:40 | Experimental | 01/01/2009

Experiment #1

By Roger D. Wilson (Cooper) | 00:03:00 | Animation, Experimental | 01/09/2009

"Experiment # 1" was a test on the vitality of silver halide crystals on film emulsion. The goal of this experiment was to take unexposed 16mm film and bury it in soil for the period of one year, dig it up, load it into a 16mm film camera and photograph images onto the film’s emulsion.

First Engine, The

By Ian Campbell | 00:06:33 | Animation, Documentary | 01/03/2015

At the dawn of the 20th century the horse was supplanted by a new means of power. This new invention is making itself known across the prairies of North America. Soon it will make its presence felt in a most radical way.

Poem

By Dan Browne | 00:03:45 | Documentary, Experimental | 01/03/2015

An ode to my daily environment and the presences of two beings – one newly arrived, the other recently departed. It stayed Where I saw it Then it moved a fraction To the left and then twice that Distance again further and further It disappeared Then just faintly A corner of it just a fraction…
