Dimensional movements of sound and surface come together in this collection of 14 short experiments on the division of space and light on 16mm film. A dialogue within the speed of triggering patterns, arise as the viewer becomes the figure with their mind going for a walk in a multi-dimensional landscape.

Phantasm

By Andrew Milne | 00:00:53 | Experimental | 01/07/2010

A body moves repeatedly and is recorded on film. Each repetition of the movement phrase is revealed in time on a single 35mm frame. Through a slit-scan photograph the body recorded in time becomes distorted in space evoking spectral imagery. Sacrificing our connection with space we gain a glimpse of our shape in time.
