By Angus Kohm, Stefanie Wiens | 00:54:57 | Documentary | 5/01/15

Story of a Diver – Rachel

By Nicole Shimonek | 00:01:33 | Experimental | 30/06/2014

A simple action is extended through long shots, angles and cutaways. The pacing, shots and voyeuristic approach make this work emotive with an internal narrative. Subversion of drama becomes dramatic, emphasized through flashes of light, camera movement and the piano score.

Seasick

By Eva Cvijanovic | 00:03:28 | Animation, Narrative-Fiction | 01/01/2013

Soaking in the sand, a forlorn figure seeks the refuge of the sea. Drifting in the current, he enters an ethereal underwater world. Eva Cvijanovic's pen-and-ink drawings subtly conjure a dreamlike ambiance that pulses like a quiet tide in this animated maritime escapade set to traditional Croatian music. - Alex Rogalski (TIFF)
