Synopsis

The story takes place on the terrible ice fields of Lake Winnipeg. Unbearably cold and brain-numbed from the swirling arctic winds, the three members of the expedition have an impossible task before them. They are the only survivors from what was once a much larger expedition. They walk in harness across the flat, never-ending expanse – three small dots in a world of white, dragging their lone sledge behind them. At the end of the day’s march, they retire to the cramped confines of their greasy tent, where they write in their expedition diaries – and wait patiently for the end...
