Synopsis

Garry Sawatzky grew up in Winnipeg and was a troubled young man. In 1985, his life would change forever when he was involved in an altercation that left an 18-year-old man dead and Sawatzky charged with second-degree murder. Since his release, he has been on a quest to recreate his identity and to find a meaningful place in the community. An unlikely career as a professional football player became part of his way out.
