Synopsis

Set during the Energy Crisis of 1970s Manitoba, Wildlands is a dramatic comedy about modern day pioneers. Jamie, the eldest daughter of an unemployed solar energy engineer, remembers how her father created a utopia in the wild lands of Manitoba armed only with his obsessive ideals, and how her mother kept the family together with perseverance and ingenuity. Ultimately though, Wildlands is a wry observation of the rise and fall of a man's ideals, and the residual effect on his daughter.
