Our friends at GIV (Groupe Intervention Vidéo) in Montreal are hosting their annual Vidéos de femmes dans le parc (VFP) event this July 18! The program takes place outdoors at the Théâtre de Verdure in Parc Lafontaine beginning at 9pm. The event is free and open to the public but BYOB (Bring Your Own Blanket to sit on).
The evening’s lineup includes a WFG-distributed animation, Mia’ by Amanda Strong and Bracken Hanuse Corlett, which follows a young Indigenous female street artist as she traverses the urban landscape painting scenes rooted in the supernatural history of her people.
GIV is an artist-run centre based in Montreal dedicated to the distribution, presentation, and production of works made by women.
