MFM Fund Recipients for 2017-2018

Congratulations to the 18 filmmakers who received Funding, sponsored by MANITOBA FILM & MUSIC, through the Winnipeg Film Group’s programs this past year!

We offer three funding programs sponsored by MFM that enable emerging, intermediate and advanced filmmakers to create, market and screen their films. The semi-annual MFM Production Fund and MFM Marketing Fund, and the annual MFM First Film Fund have greatly contributed to the vast, creative roster of independent filmmakers who call Manitoba home. Thanks to the valuable, ongoing support of MANITOBA FILM & MUSIC we have awarded more than 350 Funds to more than 200 artists over the past two decades.

Fall 2017 – MFM Production Fund

First Film Fund – 2018

Filmmakers are awarded cash prizes of up to $3000 (MFM First Film Fund), $2000 (MFM Production Fund) and $750 (MFM Marketing Fund) for their projects.

We also acknowledge the ongoing support of William F. White.
Through the Production Fund applicants are eligible to apply for a William F. White production equipment rental package award of $2,500.
