NOTE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Jan 13, 2014

Periodically, the Winnipeg Film Group hosts info sessions on recent achievements at the WFG, what’s coming on the horizon and considerations that affect the WFG’s planning, as well as to cover some of the most commonly asked questions we receive throughout the year.

These sessions also provide an opportunity for interested individuals to ask questions and provide feedback and suggestions.

If you have questions about the WFG and its planning, or if you are interested in providing feedback or suggestions, I really do encourage you to attend these sessions.

The next info session is Sunday, Jan 19 at 2 PM, immediately following the Mosaic Women’s Film Project premiere at noon – both events are free admission and are open to all.

As well, this year special attention will also be placed on the new articulated priorities of our arts council funders (the single largest segment of funders of the WFG) and how the Winnipeg Film Group is responding to a landscape of changed and increased expectations at a time when public funding of the arts is being frozen or reduced.
