One Take Super 8 Event Registration 2015

The event is as easy as pie: shoot a 3 min, 20 sec Super-8 film in one take and you’re one! No movie will ever be easier to make!

2015 marks the 10th year we have partnered with the WNDX Festival of Moving Image in bringing the One Take Super-8 Event to Winnipeg.

The premise is simple. Participants sign up on a first come, first served basis and do not need to have any previous filmmaking experience. The $25 participation fee is used to cover the material costs associated with participation: film stock, processing, shipping and digital transfer. Films are then shot in one take (no cuts, no splices – the only type of editing that is allowed is in-camera work) and filmmakers view their works for the first time at the event final screening, alongside the audience.

We’re located in the heart of Winnipeg's historic Exchange District in the Artspace building. We are across the street from Old Market Square at the corner of Arthur Street and Bannatyne - one block west of Main.
