WFG Films at PARTICLE + WAVE in Calgary!

Jan 20, 2020

Two films from the WFG catalogue have been selected to screen at PARTICLE + WAVE Media Arts Festival in Calgary, AB! Jennifer Dysart’s experimental short, Caribou in the Archive, combines rustic VHS home video of a Cree woman hunting caribou in the 1990s, combined with 1950s NFB archival film footage of northern Manitoba. Shot on beautiful 16 mm film, Nadia’s Songs by Nick White is the story of a teenage boy who finds a collection of CDs that used to belong to a stranger known only as Nadia.

The shorts program takes place at the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers on January 30 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
