WFG announces new Distribution Coordinator

Mar 4, 2015

The Distribution Department is happy to announce that Niki Little has accepted the position as the new, permanent Distribution Coordinator.

Niki comes to us with a wealth of knowledge of and experience in the media arts sector. She is an artist/observer and arts administrator whose works extends from writing, curating, arts coordination and engaging in transient artistic experiences. She is interested in artistic and curatorial strategies that investigate art consumerism, gender, culture and cultural Diaspora with a hint of youth-inspired ambivalence along the way. She is a founding member of The Ephemerals, a female Indigenous art collective. Little is on the Board of Directors at Urban Shaman (Vice-President), Independent Media Arts Alliance (President), and the National Indigenous Media Arts Coalition (Treasurer). She studied at the University of Manitoba, the National Screen Institute, and the Camberwell College of Art, London, UK, and completed the Mentoring Artists for Women’s Art (MAWA) mentorship program.

Niki will be the first contact for filmmakers wishing to have their film in the WFG’s distribution collection and will be the link between our films and programmers and curators. She will work closely with Distribution Director, Monica Lowe, who has led the Department since 2006. We are happy to welcome Niki to the WFG team.

You can reach Niki directly at 204-925-3456 ext 105 or niki@winnipegfilmgroup.com
